Season Update
Last night's match at home against Side Pocket showcased some amazing shot making. After winning my first three games, I found myself looking a run-out dead in the hole to go 4-0. A tremendous long-rail bank set up a nearly impossible short-rail bank on the two into the side. Had it gone, it would have set up an easy eight ball in the corner (see diagram 1). The effort was there, but the shot failed to reach its grand fortress of solitude.
My formidable opponent soon expelled the surface of his designated spheres leaving me dejected and facing an ignominous defeat. With one stroke of luck, he missed his shape leaving nothing. It was, in fact, lucky for him to get a clean hit on his ball. Instead, he saved his luck for the leave and handed me some wicked piece of bullshit (see diagram 2) . I made a clean hit, but nothing after found a rail and I gave up ball-in-hand. I won game five to go 4-1 (.677). The End.
